St.Tola’s NS – Shannon visit Exploration Dome – Mobile Planetarium on their School Tour

On 11 June 2014 5th class from St. Tola’s NS came into Killaloe for their School Tour.

They did a walk through Killaloe with Úna from Killaloe Heritage Walks and visited Exploration Dome – Mobile Planetarium.

Their teacher wrote us the following:

My 5th class from St.Tola’s, Shannon recently experienced the exploration dome in Killaloe. To say that they enjoyed it is an understatement. They were raving about it for days after and thought it was “class”.
We wrote some poems and drew pictures about our visit and I know they’d love to see their work on your website. I’d just like to thank you for making us feel so welcome and making our visit so much fun.
Thanks again, I’ll definitely recommend the dome to other teachers.

Aliens!
There’s life on earth, it’s me and you.
Is there life on other planets too?
Do aliens fly in U.F.O’s?
Is there other civilisations and we don’t know?
Is there cities on Mars with people like us?
Driving to school and catching the bus.
Or have they progressed and we can’t see?
With technology only in our dreams,
Could the be behind with nothing like ours?
Stuck back in time where they walk on all fours,
Do they look like us or like we’ve never seen?
Are they kind and hospitable or vicious and mean?
Are they small and squat or thin and tall?
Is there life in space at  all?
